There will actually be five steps you take to receive your CNA. The first of these is you will receive a personality assessment. Your training includes some volunteer time in a hospital. You may or may not be given a choice of what department you work in. Your performance here will be assessed, and will be a good indication of your suitability to becoming a CNA.
The fourth thing you will do is complete the CNA Training Program. You will learn about patient rights and responsibilities as well as standards of care. You will also be taught how to use basic medical equipment and how to perform daily care procedures.
The final step is taking the Exam for CNA certification, and then you will be on your way to a satisfying and lucrative career.
